About Dr. Ames

Jody Ames, D.D.S. is a practicing dentist in Xenia, OH; after graduating from Ohio State University Dr. Ames has been providing quality dental care in his community for over 25 years. Dr. Ames believes it is important to provide excellent care and customer service to his patients at a reasonable cost.

As a practicing dentist Dr. Ames found that labs, supplies and other goods and services were getting more and more difficult to manage in regard to the impact on overhead expenses; and this was negatively impacting his bottom line. This led him to co-found DDSUnited, along with business partner Jerry Cowan, to extend negotiated pricing to solo dentists across the country. With the dental market changing and the large DSOs and corporate chains making it harder for the solo practitioners and small groups to compete on price, Dr. Ames and his team work diligently for the solo dentists and small groups to negotiate discounts and leveraged pricing on supplies, services, products and most vendors that support the dental practice. This creates the opportunity to significantly reduce overhead, control costs, and put owner dentists on a level playing field with the large corporate dental chains.
